Cute fillies enjoying watermelon? What better an image to coincide with the nice weather all over the place. It’s nearly for real-real Summertime; things are lookin’ good.
So, in this lovely little commission piece, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy just got back from Flight Camp and have a week or so left of vacation before school kicks in again. Fluttershy’s been talking up the surface world so much that Dash finally bites; they get their parents permission to visit the nearby town of Ponyville. With a little bit of allowance dosh, they pick up a watermelon and bring it back home for Rainbow’s Dad to carve up. In short, Dash loves watermelon.
Also, I think I got a pretty good ‘vector’ for Rainbow Dad’s Cutie Mark down, though I’m not 100% sure it’s accurate. I can throw that up somewhere later if you guys want.

UPDATE (5-9-13): Thanks to some constructive criticism I received from some guy on Tumblr here, I’ve gone ahead and updated this animation with some totally nifty little clicky buttons to put you, fellow poneliker, in complete control of your viewing experience. And by complete control, I mean there’s a button that will let you enable/disable the music. Also, the link thing is clickable now (kinda sorta).

Also, yes, the animation is kinda NSFW. Just a quick loop, but good practice for a negroteer such as myself. Flash is looking pretty easy to get back into, so I should hopefully be doing a lot more animations… possibly with more clicky shit in them. That’d be pretty neato.

I’ve been wanting to do something with Nightmare Rarity for a while now, so I put a sketch together the other night and colored everything in this afternoon. This was actually a pretty quick piece; I don’t think I spent more than a couple hours on it.
Nightmarity has a really pretty mane. That was a lot of fun to draw/figure out. Also, I’m not sure if the Cutie Mark is 100% accurate since the comic kinda fiddled around with the number and position of little white stars in every panel. Maybe it’s an animated cutie mark? No clue. Looks good on her curvy little pone butt, though.

Got another commission piece finished up today, so I thought I’d share it with all you fine ponefolks.
I was about to skip over giving this piece a tl;dr description, but I think this one needs at least a partial backstory to be fully understood.
Since Twily got her alicorn god powers, she’s been playing around with them a bit to see what kind of new forms of magic she can pull off. After swapping RD and Rarity’s races, she finds a spell that advertises it’s amazing ability to ‘cool ponies off’. It’s a hot day, so Twilight casts the simple spell without a second thought. Moments later, she’s Super-Naked™. Here, she’s just now realizing what she’s gone and done to herself.
Loved doing up all the expressions on this one. It was also a lot of fun designing Super-Naked™ Twily (which is slightly different from Anatomically Correct Sexy Naked™ Twily, but let’s not get sidetracked). The little chicken wings look pretty comical/believably canon; glad I stuck with that rather than trying to go hardcore.

Decided to finally get around to doing up the ‘Night Thread Edition’ to my old Markerita pic. A couple Anons in the General were wondering where it was, so I got my act together and busted out this lovely piece of pony butt. The most appropriate scene I could come up with was Markerita browsing some night threads for greentext schlick stories while preparing herself for the >rape sybian/fuck machine thing she’s about to hop onto. She also fancied herself up with some interesting lingerie… perhaps knowing that she was putting on a show? Maybe for the Leth bot? For herself? Who can say (but, more importantly, who cares?)
I tore through about 4 different sketches before settling on this pose and trust me, this one looks the best of the other concepts I put together. This was great practice for pone anatomy. I really like how the lifted rearleg turned out. The magic glow was also pretty fun to dick around with, but I’m not 100% positive I got that down perfectly. Looks pretty good at the moment as far as I can tell.
Glad to be drawing pones again. Drawing poneography is a plus. Doing something for the General again is a real good feel. Hope to grind into some more pieces very, very soon. Until then, keep it classy, ponefriends.

As it turns out, pones can actually have their tonsils removed. Sweetie Belle had to have hers out, so now she’s just chillin’ in bed and eating ice cream with her best friends. While Scootaloo spoonfeeds her, Applebloom is just thankful she’s okay. Rarity also seems to have stopped in sometime earlier, giving Sweetie a new scarf and a ‘Get Well Soon’ card.
Another commission piece. I feel like this one turned out really well. I love the colors and the poses, especially Applebloom’s tilted over kind of laying pose. Sweetie’s bed mane is also really cute; like how that turned out.

This scene is about a noble fight between two brothers over a barrel of fresh Sweet Apple Acres cider. Of course, this still would be taken right at the climactic moment that Shining Armor gets #dunkt by Big Mac’s superior forearm strength. While Applejack cheers on, Twily can only hope her brother’s pride isn’t too badly wounded.
Another cute commission. This was very helpful for getting male pone construction down a bit better, though I think Big Mac’s face is a little off. First time I’ve drawn the guy… I think I made him look a bit too ‘manly’, if that makes any sense.
Images of exceptional pone debauchery are on the horizon. The next pic should be a pretty fun one, if not a tightrope walk down a path seldom tread. I’ll get back to you on that.
EDIT: My good buddy, the Iron Will™ mod guy aka CreepyCurse, made a more canon-accurate version of Big Mac’s face, so I too decided to have my way with his mug. I think this looks quite a bit more accurate as opposed to my original ‘super-smarmy-nearly-prince-like’ face I gave him originally… though that still has a quality to it that I like. I’m sure I’ll use that kind of a facial structure again in the far future.
Also, though it’s not completely canonically accurate as to how Big Mac holds straw in his mouth, I still liked the small lip roll from the original, so I just made that slightly less EXTREME.

Another wonderful commission hot off the presses. I thought I’d take a moment to share this beautiful piece of art with you fine folks.
Oddly enough, this one has a pretty self-explanatory concept. Basically, Fausticorn weighs in on the recent Twilycorn drama. Loving the overall direction her beloved creation Twilight has taken, she invites the purple alicorn down to her consensual love chambers to help shoot some footage for next season. They didn’t give her too much time to stretch before shooting and they have been filming nearly all day, so Twilight is understandably a little cranky in this scene. Also, the filming director couldn’t seem to resist an opportunity to rub her poonanner during the shoot. I just hope the cigar smoke doesn’t blot out any good footage.
Derpy also somehow managed to photobomb, but it seemed like a good shot so I didn’t take another. There’s never enough Derpy these days. Oh yeah, and that quote is actually quite real. My picture is educational!

In this scene, we have our favorite purple unicorn Twily getting herself into a new hobby; knitting! She’s really taken to the art, but not so much to the color theory tutorials in her book. The enthusiastic mare takes a shot at doing up a group of sweaters. After doing up her own, she tries her hardest to make one for her BBBFF. Shining doesn’t have the heart to tell her what he really thinks about it, so he just puts it on and tells her he likes it.
This was a little commission piece I did up for someone over on DA. I had originally completed this a day or so ago for the commissioner, but I felt that something was kinda off. The first rendition of this pic featured Shining and Twily in DK Mode… thanks to some extremely helpful Anons over in the General, I got things sorted out and looking much better. Huge thanks to those guys!

Now for something a little sweeter than my usual fare…
I really had a hankering for doing up some more pone dresses, so I decided to go ahead and take a crack at a wedding dress design. Out of all the ponies to pop into such a dress, I thought Dash would be best. Given she’s not one to wear her heart on her sleeves (or hooves), I think a wedding, especially her own, would bring out the waterworks. It highlights a tender dynamic in the speedy blue pone that we don’t typically see; thought that’d be a neat subject to cover.
I was originally going to put in a full audience, a preacher, and Scootaloo as a flower girl, but I think keeping it simpler makes the piece more endearing. Just having Dash in the shot makes it feel more personal/authentic.
